PROJECT ATAMI "AKAO ART RESIDENCE"

Launched in March 2021, PROJECT ATAMI is an art initiative aimed at rediscovering the charm of Atami through art.

AKAO ART RESIDENCE provides young artists with a space to create and covers production costs during their stay. The program began in March 2021 and is structured into five terms (March–December 2021). We are pleased to announce the participating artists for the fifth term (November–December 2021). These talented emerging artists, with their unique and vibrant sensibilities, will stay at Akao Resort and use Atami itself as their canvas to express its beauty through art.

Venue: ACAO SPA & RESORT (1993-250 Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture)
A free shuttle bus is available from JR Atami Station.
Reception: HOTEL ACAO, inside ACAO SPA & RESORT
Admission: ¥1,000 (Free for junior high school students and younger)

Additionally, works by past ACAO ART RESIDENCE artists will also be on view, including Ichiro Endo, Maki Okojima, Terumi Ota, Kasetsu, Hanbow, Misai Kawano, Akio Suzuki, Yu Takagi, Hiro Tanaka, Rintaro Fuse, Koichi Mitsuoka, Hiromi Miyakita, Yoshidayama, and Shinjiro Watanabe.
